Is remote notarization legal and valid?
Yes! The State of Colorado and many other states have approved remote notarizations for a variety of documents using an accepted technology provider.
Which platform do you use to perform remote notarizations?
We utilize Blue Notary as our technology provider. They are one of the providers approved by the Colorado Secretary of State office for remote notarization.
What types of documents can I get notarized remotely?
We can notarize most documents requiring an oath or affirmation, acknowledment, signature witnessing, or copy certification (except for documents originating from a clerk and recorders office, secretary of state office, state archives, or vital records office).
A notary may not remotely notarize any record relating to the electoral process; this includes circulator’s
affidavits and candidate petitions.
A notary may not notarize a will or codicil or any acknowledgment required under sections 15-11-502
or 15-11-504, C.R.S., except as specifically provided in the Colorado Uniform Electronic Wills Act (HB 21-

How is payment processed?
Payment is securely processed through Stripe on the Blue Notary website. Your credit card will be preauthorized when you join the remote session. Once the notarization is complete, the full transaction will be processed and upon successful payment you will have access to a copy of your notarized document.
